This project called for a homey, spacious, practical retreat that felt like it had existed on the riverbank for generations. Our primary challenge was designing a home that sleeps 16 guests within 3,000 square feet of interior living space- without sacrificing charm, warmth, or durability.

Ensure all materials withstand frequent turnover and large-group use.
On a small lot we created continuity across the property so that all buildings felt original to the land.

CAPTURING COTTAGE-INSPIRED HILL COUNTRY CHARM

Heritage Materials: Reclaimed brick pavers, antique doors, and cottage-style millwork create an instant sense of history.

Hospitality-Ready Design: Every finish—from white oak cabinetry to performance linens—was selected to withstand high turnover while maintaining elevated warmth.

Thoughtful Functionality: Space planning accommodates up to 16 guests comfortably without sacrificing charm or flow.

TEXTURE-RICH, RIVERFRONT DESIGN

Earthy Foundations: Warm neutrals, organic textures, and natural materials ground the home in its riverside landscape.

Timeless Layers: White oak flooring, heavy moldings, and wainscot details add dimension and a collected, lived-in feel.

Cozy Cottage Palette: Linen upholstery, soft neutrals, and layered finishes create an inviting retreat perfect for gathering.
